Horse Boarding

After years of renting our pasture to only cows, we decided to change the direction of our Ranch's operation to a more horse-centric focus. We have divided our 100 acres into pastures, hay fields and cattle pasture areas. Our shedrow horse barn and stable area is newly built, utilizing the features of the cattle operation that used to be based here and expanding them to offer a variation of stalls, corrals and paddocks designed with the individual horse and their needs in mind.

Our ultimate goal is to provide the horses here with maximum pasture turn out in as big of an area as we can provide, so they can be horses, while allowing our boarders access and facilities to spend time with their mounts. Our secondary focus is on making our boarders feel at home here, with space for their tack, grooming areas, an outdoor arena and round pen, obstacle course to work on and trail riding paths around the property to explore.

All boarders are full board contracted, we do not offer only pasture board. Each horse has its own area for feedings but gets turned out to graze (or drylot depending on their dietary needs), as often as possible. We group horses into herds of two to four when their personalities match to give them companions, but do keep others separate depending on their compatibility and how they "play well with others." Safety for everyone involved is first and foremost in our operation.

Our Ranch also has its own hay operation, and we cultivate orchard and timothy grass pasture for multiple cuttings per year. The hay we feed our horses comes from our own fields, with some extra for sale to outside buyers. We can often be seen irrigating our fields throughout the summer season, and we rotate fields and pastures to allow the best growth all around.

Activities at our Ranch are mainly centered on youth and beginner lesson riding, trail and the Always Outlaws 4H Club whom we are proud to host. Our riding disciplines vary all the time as we practice both english and western equitation, have been known to set up a few jumps here and there, work on our in hand showmanship, help move the cattle from field to field occasionally, attempt liberty work and have a deep passion for cart driving. Draft and half draft horses are often found here practicing their carriage driving and its a sport we highly encourage. Many of our own horses are, if not basically proficient, at least exposed to as many different activities as we can throw at them, and all styles, ages and levels of riders are welcome here.

We are a small facility and only have a limited number of boarding spaces at the moment, but have plans for expansion. If you are interested in boarding your horse here we encourage you to contact us.

Due to plans this summer to build another barn and improve our corrals, we are not taking additional boarders at this time. Thank you!
