Lessons & Training

Private Lessons

RSR is proud to host Allie Crisp as our in-house Trainer and Riding Instructor. All her riding lessons are one-on-one instead of group lessons, preferring to focus on the individual and their needs with their mount. Students can trailer-in their mount or utilize RSR's lesson horses. She strongly encourages prospective students to visit and discuss their goals to map out how lessons with her can improve themselves and their horse.

Her focus in on building a solid foundation of basics for the rider before moving onto higher challenge skills. She is open to students of all ages and skill levels. Her training and lesson disciplines include most Western disciplines, In Hand Trail and Mounted Competitive Trail in both natural and arena settings, English flat work basics, Hunter Jumper, Show Jumper and general riding for pleasure.

Horse Training

Allie has been training horses since 2007 when she first became involved in her local 4H organization. The foundation of her training program is to train both the horse’s mind and body. She utilizes positive reinforcement and behavior redirection with the goal of building working partnerships between the horse and its handler. All saddle work has a ground work basic that can be learned first to maximize the horse's knowledge base and set them up to succeed. Establishing a solid foundation through groundwork and communication is the key for a healthy horse and handler relationship. Allie strongly believes in a free moving horse and strives to educate her students and clients to best put these concepts to use.
